To look upon the heritage-listed Wickham Terrace carpark from the street is to see, what I call bollards, lining the external edge of each level. Designed from concrete and providing a structural purpose of preventing the cars from overstepping the mark.
Built in 1960 and designed by James Birrell, the carpark features off-form concrete(cast on-site), cantilevered staircase, steel rod security screening, cast concrete artwork around the stairwell by James Meldrum and the very enjoyable semi circular ramp providing the exits and connecting all the levels.
